WILD ABOUT WHISKY - TASTING BAR

Since 2006, our tasting bar has grown from a dozen whiskies to nearly 2,000 from around the world. While we’re a dedicated whisky bar, we also specialise in gin, rum, tequila, mezcal, brandy, and cognac – all served by the tot or half-tot. With a focus on spirits education, we offer guided tastings and visuals to enhance your experience. Our team regularly travels to Scotland and other regions to expand our knowledge and source new gems.

UDDERLICIOUS MILKSHAKE BAR

Serving up 40+ milkshake flavours, from Milktart to Lemon Meringue, plus all your favourite chocolates and biscuits blended to perfection!

BERGEN CHEESE

Experience the rustic charm of the countryside with a visit to Bergen Cheese. Sample a variety of handcrafted cheeses, each telling a story of local tradition and dedication to flavour. It’s a true taste of the Mpumalanga Highlands.

BIRD OF PREY & REHABILITATION CENTRE

Unlock the magic of the wild at Birds of Prey in Dullstroom! Immerse yourself in thrilling bird flight demonstrations, raptor handling experiences, and educational talks designed to inspire and educate. The Dullstroom Bird of Prey & Rehabilitation Centre, founded in 1997, rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife, with a special focus on raptors. As a registered non-profit, we rely entirely on public and corporate donations to continue our work — we receive no government funding. To raise funds, we host daily flying shows featuring birds that cannot be released back into the wild.

PADEL

Padel with the best views at Highland Gate! Book your court via Playtomic, You can book & play Padel on Mondays however the Clubhouse is closed and therefore there are no refreshments available.

HIGHLAND GATE GOLF

Highland Gate Golf and Trout Estate feature a magnificent 18-hole Ernie Els signature golf course, rated by many to be one of the best in South Africa. The course is set among some of the most scenic mountainous landscapes in Mpumalanga, and is challenging to say the least. Highland Gate is the perfect midweek or weekend retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, with the focus not only on golfing, but also on a wealth of leisure activities to ensure the whole family is catered for in this rare and peaceful setting. The course is now open to the public with a magnificent new clubhouse where golfers can buy soft-drinks, sandwiches, and golfing accessories. 40 two-seater golf carts are available for hire.
