The Irish Rock Guest House is situated in the spectacular and secure Highland Gate Golf Estate, surrounded by the majestic Steenkampberg mountain range. The Estate is a short 15 minutes’ drive from Dullstroom a charming little town based in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Located on a hill, only 2.5 hours away from Johannesburg, this luxurious Guest House overlooks a breath-taking waterfall with its soothing sounds filling the house and thus setting the perfect tone for relaxation and tranquility.
The Irish Rock Guest House will truly be a memorable midweek or weekend getaway for any golfer, festival fanatic or outdoor enthusiast. There are a number of things to do for the whole family including a variety of outdoor activities for any nature lover like hiking trails, fly fishing, mountain biking, picnicking, photography and bird watching. Vir ‘n naweek wegbreek slegs 2 ure uit Pretoria was Irishrock die destinasie. Die uitsig laat jou sprakeloos. Die huis is pragtig ingerig en so uitgelê dat jy onmiddelik tuis voel weet ‘n heerlike naweek lê voor. Ons sal Irishrock definitief weer en weer besoek.
We had a lovely weekend at this dream house!! The view, the fireplace, the luxurious rooms, did I mention the view!! Absulutely perfect!! Top class golf course, club house and lovely hiking trail with waterfalls. We will defnitely visit again!!

‘n Pragtige, ruim huis wat 8 mense gerieflik huisves. Dullstroom is nie ver nie, maar daar is ook baie ander aktiwiteite, bv. golf, visvang en staproetes. The Irish Rock Guest house kan definitief aanbeveel word.
We had an awesome weekend and enjoyed our stay immensely.
The view is spectacular. We saw duiker, baboon, meerkat & the walking trails are very enjoyable.

Op die eerste dag is jy so verlief op hierdie huis en uitsig, jy wil vir altyd bly.
Ons familie het ‘n absolute uitstekende tyd gehad vir die naweek. Die aandag aan detail in die huis is besonders. Die ligging is perfek en die uitsig is amazing, jy wil amper heeldag by die groot hout tafel sit en staar. Ons het ‘n kort staproete gestap na die waterval en dit moet vir seker op jou lysie wees. As jy soek vir iets spesiaal, moenie twee keer dink om by The Irish Rock Guesthouse in te boek nie.

The house is perfect for any size family of any age group, with more than enough space to allow the entire family to spend quality time together. Having explored the estate, I can say with confidence that this house has the best view. The house is perfectly designed so that a person can enjoy this view from almost anywhere in the house. The house has all the amenities one would need – a lot of thought went into providing the best possible experience, this was evident by the attention to detail throughout the house. Anneline is an amazing host who went out of her way to ensure we had the best possible stay and was always available if we needed anything.

Highland Gate Golf Estate
Highland Gate Golf and Trout Estate feature a magnificent 18-hole Ernie Els signature golf course, rated by many to be one of the best in South Africa. The course is set among some of the most scenic mountainous landscapes in Mpumalanga, and is challenging to say the least. Highland Gate is the perfect midweek or weekend retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, with the focus not only on golfing, but also on a wealth of leisure activities to ensure the whole family is catered for in this rare and peaceful setting. The course is now open to the public with a magnificent new clubhouse where golfers can buy soft-drinks, sandwiches, and golfing accessories. 40 two-seater golf carts are available for hire.
